Human Services are defined as services provided to an individual or an individual’s family in need of services to assist the individual or the individual’s family in achieving and maintaining basic self-sufficiency, including physical health, mental health, education, welfare, food and nutrition.
The Woodlawn Project’s Human Services focus in the following categories.
- Physical Health
- Nutrition Education
- Collaborations with other community organizations
Collaboration
Through collaboration with other community organizations the Woodlawn Project can improve the reach of our programs as well as the programs of other organizations that focus on other human service categories.
Prevention Education
Together we provide community events that promote education to prevent or improve the treatment illnesses brought on by poor nutrition.
Community Events
We also provide events to help the community with health screening, vaccinations, blood drives, health fairs and roundtables where the community can receive information and guidance on their specific health issues.
